The Argodiode is a 1000A power distributor. This allows 3 battery banks to be charged at the same time with 1 dynamo.
During discharge, the batteries are separated by diodes. For example, if the accessory battery is discharged, the starter battery remains fully charged.
Due to the use of Schottky diodes, the voltage loss is very low. All models of Argo power distributors have a compensation diode that can be used to slightly increase the alternator voltage.
Some alternators will start charging when voltage is present at the B + terminal. A diode or FET charge divider isolates the batteries from the alternator so that the alternator will not start.
