The Skylla IP44 battery charger has 3 isolated outputs, each of which can supply the maximum output current. This allows 3 battery banks to be charged simultaneously.
The LCD display allows you to set the charging voltage and charging current for any type of open or closed lead battery. With the optional Skylla-i Control panel you can control the battery charger remotely.
Thanks to the steel epoxy powder-coated housing, the battery charger is splash-proof and resistant to heat, moisture, dust and salt air.
In addition, the printed circuit boards are protected with acrylic lacquer for optimal resistance to corrosion.
The temperature sensors ensure that the power components operate within certain limits. If necessary, the high temperature automatically reduces the output current.
The LC display can be used for condition monitoring and to easily adjust the charging algorithm of a particular battery. In addition, the operating conditions can be adjusted via the LC display.
Synchronized parallel operation
Several chargers can be connected in parallel to the Skylla. These can also be synchronized using the CAN bus interface. However, RJ45 UTP cables must be used to connect the chargers.
With the BatterySafe mode, damage from excessive gassing can be limited. Damage from excessive gassing can be caused by a choice of a high charging current in combination with a high absorption voltage to shorten the charging time. Excess gassing in this case is limited by automatically limiting the voltage rise rate when the gassing voltage is reached.
